An Inviting Contemporary Kitchen

Delighted with the exceptional work Align Kitchens delivered in their previous Ipswich renovation, our returning clients, Rod and Michelle, entrusted our team with the creation of a sanctuary away from everyday life.

Upon reflecting on the successes and highlights of their past project, Rod and Michelle discussed what aspects they would like to transfer from their previous project to the new holiday home. One key element they noted as a necessity, was the combination of white and timber tones. They emphasised that this was the primary feature of their previous renovation and loved how the contrasting tones boasted warmth, elegance and character; creating an inviting, timeless abode.

After careful collaboration during the selection process, our clients and the Align team collectively agreed upon Polytec ‘Classic White’ as the foundation to this Kitchen, with the secondary addition of Polytec ‘Boston Oak’ woodmatt.

The Classic White cabinetry acts as the perfect backdrop, blending seamlessly with the internal walls – creating the illusion of a larger space. While the contrasting Boston Oak elements provide warmth and depth to a primarily neutral base. This particular woodmatt finish embodies realistic texture similar to hardwood timber – an increasingly popular choice.

The natural greenery that surrounds this holiday home, influences the incorporation of timber in this kitchen. It’s important to create harmony between interior and exterior environments,  in order to successfully conduct a cohesive design. Even through the cabinetry, our team was able to appreciate the beautiful surroundings, by bringing natural and organic elements from the outside, in.

Given the picturesque location of Golden Beach, it was important that we maximised the surrounding views through careful interior selections. With extensive knowledge in multi-residential and coastal projects, our Ipswich director and designer, Hiwa, collaborated with our clients from the initial design to completion of works.

Hiwa raised the importance of natural lighting to open up the area – with this project being a unit, the space can become quite confined. As a joinery solution to this concern, Hiwa proposed a mirror splashback. This provides the illusion of increased space by reflecting the surroundings, while also reflecting the natural light that beams through the sliding doors.

Not only does this mirror splashback provide practical solutions to opening up the space, it also ties in wonderfully with the contemporary design of the kitchen. Glass splashbacks are seamless and effortlessly low maintenance; no grout to contend with, just an easy wipe down, which is an attractive incentive for many users.

To maintain cohesive design through the interior spaces, we extended the Classic White and Boston Oak selections from the kitchen to the bathroom vanities. This not only maintains consistency throughout the home but also brings a touch of sophistication and timelessness to the bathroom spaces.

This stunning family holiday home stands as a testament to Align Kitchens’ continued commitment to client partnerships and dedication in delivering quality craftsmanship.
